New Book: Italian Vintage Sailplanes

Italian glider historian and vintage sailplane event organizer, Vincenzo Pedrielli, has just announced the upcoming release of his latest publication about historic gliders. The book, titled “Vintage Italian Sailplanes / Alianti Italiani d’Epoca,” has taken several years of dedicated research to complete and includes the fine graphics of fellow researcher and glider historian Francesco Camastra.

SOARING100 Events: October 21-24

SOARING100, a four-day celebration that marks a century of recreational soaring, will open Friday, October 21st in Nags Head, North Carolina, near the site where Orville Wright made an almost 10 minute soaring flight 100 years ago. With this historic flight, Orville established a world duration record for gliders that stood for 10 years.
