[Video] Soaring Near Tioga Pass Along the Sierras

Editors’ Note: Thanks to Gordon Boettger for sharing this beautiful video, which was captured with a GoPro 2 using the GoPro wifi remote in the cockpit.

Gordon has set many U. S. single- and multi-place national records from Minden, the latter with co-pilot Hugh Bennett in the Duo Discus mentioned below. Here a few links to relevant posts in the Café archives:

I took this video in the Duo Discus (DDT), the one we use on the long wave flights. This was a nice day flying out of Minden and shot in the area of Tioga Pass along the Sierra. Enjoy.

Great stuff Gordo. Had some similar fun up on the Lost River range this year at the King Mountain Fly-In in my Duo.

Can you post a picture of how you attached the camera to the wing tip?

It was with the standard suction cup mount that comes with the GoPro backed up with some duct tape.
