LAUNCHING of a new Café

... and, why are you making me log in?

... and, why are you making me log in?

The New CafeWhen you visit SoaringCafe.com later this week, it’s going to be a little different. We’ve been working behind the scenes for many weeks getting ready to launch our new and improved site. The biggest change you’ll notice, is that in order to read complete stories and the latest news, you’ll need to become a member by setting up a user name and password.

We did this to encourage the development of a more connected community. On the site, now you can rate an article, share stories like your most memorable flight, share pictures, videos and news, and review the latest technology.  You will even be able to engage in some great discussion on our new forums which will follow this site upgrade in a few weeks.

The Café is a unique place that brings us all together to share our passion for flying. And although we come from different countries, speak different languages, work in all types of jobs and have diverse life experiences, we are a community. And we like to talk about and share our flying experiences. That’s why we made the changes to the website. So everyone has a chance to both share their stories and enjoy the experiences of others.

Membership is free. But in the spirit of full disclosure, when you register for membership, you’ll be asked to consider a small donation to support the expenses associated with keeping the site running. You get the same benefits regardless of your decision whether to support us or not. But, if you decide to share just a small amount, it will be an acknowledgement that you find value in the service SoaringCafe.com brings to you.

We are excited about the new changes to the site and hope you will be too. Please let us know what you think. There is one thing that won’t change; the Café will continue to provide what no magazine can – a searchable, interactive site that brings pilots together for soaring-related information and discussions.

See you online!
