Winch launches on our snow-covered airfield on January 26, 2013. Our soaring club, SG beider Basel, has its home base on the Fricktal-Schupfart airfield which is located some 20 miles east of the town of Basel in Switzerland. It’s beautifully embedded in hilly landscape. It’s also good starting point for cross country flights to the west along the Jura or to the north-east along the Black Forest and Schwaebische Alb.
