As the clock passes midnight here in Uvalde TX USA, the weather is looking like it going to calm down for the next few days, all except the high temperatures which will be climbing a few degrees more each. There were some gliders that made for flying today, but no one pushed the boundaries as everyone is starting to get into conserve mode as the first official contest day, Sunday 5.8.2012, approaches. We expect to see fewer pilots on the line for launch tomorrow, probably less than half the official field. There was one highlight today. The German and Austrian teams held a join party for everyone at the field. For a few hours under our “Big Top” tent, good German beer and fine Austrian food made it into the thirsty and hungry mouths of a grateful crowd. PROST & PROSIT!
