Miss Daisy – Words About the Worlds

Good afternoon after the most challenging launch we ever had here!

The dust on the grid on Day 10When arriving at the airport this morning the participant countries flags were fully extended in the wind. Nothing bad so far in normal conditions, but if you decide to go on the grid in such a day in Uvalde, guess what? – you will be dressed in a thick layer of soft dust that will get everywhere – and I mean EVERYWHERE! It got so bad towards the end of launching the 15m/ 18m grid that we had to stop for a little while, as you could not see the tow plane from the glider. But we made it safe due to the line crew and the pilots are all having fun right now flying the task in not such blue conditions as predicted.

Now after getting the sand out of my eyes I can relax a bit and tell you the story of last night International party. The participating teams put together a wonderful culinary and drinking experience, bringing their special foods and liquors for us to enjoy. As by now we all know each other, everybody had fun talking and sharing stories and experiences.
