Miss Daisy – Words About the Worlds

Good afternoon to all!

As the pilots are on course racing on a great day, I would like to take the chance and talk a little bit about yesterday, as promised. It was the first day after the well deserved rest day for all of us and we were all getting ready for a good day of work that proved to be full of surprises. Walking to the main office I met Sarah (you all know her, she runs Chilhowee and is part of the US Team for next year in Argentina) that just got back to tow for the WGC until the end – great news as I have to do some writing about her. She is the only lady tow pilot here and a very good one!

Ray Galloway and Diane Black-Nixon in runway patrol My day was about to get better as on the front desk way laying a badge with Ray Galloway’s name on it. He was on his way from San Antonio to visit the WGC. Ray has been involved in soaring in the US for many many years. He used to be a CD or Weather Man for many competitions among which I would mention Perry and The Seniors.
