Leigh Zimmerman "Around the Worlds"

Interesting end to Contest Day 8.  Short tasks called and as expected we had an east/west line of T storms, 30 to 40 miles north of Uvalde airport with tops as high as 50,000 feet. The line moved very slowly southwest, approaching, but never quite reaching Uvalde.  A weak gust front brought north winds and a change of landing direction about 2/3 of the way through the recovery process.  Nevertheless, it seems that most, if not all of the pilots, completed a safe task and made it back to the airfield.  Another day “in the bag”
