Feminine European Record Claim – Speed Around 750 km Triangle

[ Editors’ Note: In the original version of this post, we mistakenly labeled Pilar’s flight a world record claim when, in fact, she claimed European records, not  world records. We regret this error and apologize to our readers. . . but it’s still an outstanding achievement! ]

On July 19, 2012, Pilar Muñoz Lopez of Spain flew her Discus BT over a triangular course of 750 km (466 miles) at a speed of 117.25 km/h (72.86 mph) to set European records in the General and Feminine categories in both Open and 15 meter classes. Task: Bar – Guadalupe – Ad Beas – Ad Sotos – Bar (all in Spain).
