Dear soaring friends,

Soaring Cafe is now four months old and continues to grow.  (see stats below)  Rand and I would like very much to thank you for helping to make the Soaring Cafe a big success.  We receive very nice emails complimenting us on the Cafe just about every day.  When we go to soaring sites and contests, again, we receive nothing but wonderful comments.

We believe that our media rich (plenty of pictures) and great content is a key part of our success.  Our content covers everything from flights the average pilot is doing, to great flights in the Sierras, to reviews, cool videos, and interesting projects like Dick Butler’s Concordia.

We need your help to continue to be successful.  Our goal is to become the website you want to go to everyday to find out what is happening around the world in soaring.  If you have an article that is of interest to someone you know, then it will be of interest to others.  Perhaps you have something that has been published locally perhaps in your club newsletter or in your soaring association magazine, we would be delighted to publish an extended version with more pictures for the rest of the international soaring community to enjoy.

Also, many of you surf the net and stumble across interesting information, articles, cool videos, or technology that others might be interested.  Simply send us a short email with a link to the website.  We’ll post it for others to enjoy.

Below are some of the stats for the Soaring Cafe from January 1 to April 30, 2011.  As you can see from the graph, the Cafe is seeing steady growth in our readership — 74,000+ visits and nearly 250,000 page views, wow!  April had over 24,000 visits and nearly 75,000 page views!  We think that is amazing.
