Day One Will Be Day One On Another Day

As you can see, some of us are working to keep ourselves entertained. I personally thought I’d see how many “O’s” I could get in one sentence while practicing for the friendly (most days) competition I am having with my wife on Words With Friends, a mostly fun Scrabble application on our not-so-smart phones. Some days after I slam her with a good one, the word “Friends” is inappropriate.

Needless to say, today’s flying competition was scratched at the pilots’ meeting due to brisk southerly winds and the threat of the front finally inching its way with rain to Chilhowee. The Weather or Not Man indicated that by mid-afternoon, max achievable altitude would be about 300 feet.

Prior to the weather forecast, a Chamber of Commerce pitchman briefly discussed things to do in Polk County at the pilots’ meeting. I’d venture to guess that the local Polk Folks may see some  some  business from our crowd. The guy said every time he comes to talk it seems to be a rain day. In the future, I  suggest the event management should ask him to talk on the “rest day” or maybe better yet, a week before the contest starts.

Anyhow, for a few I’m sure, the picture below may be the ticket.  Ciao

Bella and the boy.
