The Sylacauga Soaring Society (Alabama USA) will host Bob Carlton’s BonusJet Demo on Saturday, April 16th. The club plans to start flying activities as usual around noon and the BonusJet will make numerous flights during the day and then around 5:00 PM everyone will adjourn to the large hangar for a barbeque dinner and refreshments. Bob Carlton of Desert Aerospace, LLC will give a 45 minute slide presentation at 7:00 pm on  building jet powered sailplanes, flying the Rutan/Virgin Galactic Spaceship, a great video of the Salto doing low level aerobatics at an air show, and an up close look and discussion of the jet engine used to propel these ships. A Blue Grass band will also provide entertainment during the evening.
