George Lee’s Website is Back Online…Plus Photos

[ Editors’ Note: In the original version of this post, we mistakenly identified the late Klaus Holighaus in the fourth photo below as Hans Werner Grosse. The caption has been corrected to read “George Lee with Klaus Holighaus in Paderborn, Germany in 1981.” We sincerely regret this error and apologize for our mistake. ]

Recently, the Café posted an article about George Lee’s upcoming autobiography, Hold Fast to Your Dreams. Unfortunately, his website went offline the following day. Fortunately, the problem has been solved and the site is now back online. If you are interested in what we’re sure will be a fascinating story by this three-time open class world champion, we urge you to visit his site, where George has posted an autobiographical summary and a wonderful collection of photos highlighting his experiences in gliding, his career in the RAF, and a subsequent career flying Boeing 747s for Cathay Pacific Airways.

George graciously provided the Café with the following photos from his website gallery.
