Author Archive for Frans Guise

I started flying gliders in 1984 at “Vliegclub Haamstede,” very near to the sea in the province of Zeeland (most gliding in Holland is done in a club environment.) After years of flying around the coastal lighthouse, I flew my first 300K during a glider camp in Issoudun, France. Since then I have embraced cross-country flying and flying expeditions, including flying in the (French) Alps. As of now, I have made around 250 cross country flights, 3,800 flights, with a total of 1,500 hours, launched by winch and aerotow. I’m also a crew member off the Dutch gliding team and always carry one of my (Canon) camera’s. The more you fly, the more you can learn. ;-)
