Stop by the VSA booth at the SSA Convention in Reno!

We are delighted to inform Café readers that the Winter, 2013 issue of Bungee Cord, a quarterly publication of the Vintage Sailplane Association (VSA), has been published.

We invite attendees at the upcoming SSA Convention in Reno, who are interested in vintage or classic sailplanes, to stop at the VSA booth in the exhibit hall and meet us and talk shop. We will have on display a quilt, designed and made by Dody Wyman for the VSA’s 40th anniversary. The quilt will be raffled in June, so stop by the VSA booth and register for a chance to win the quilt.

At 9:00 AM on Friday, February 28th, Simine will give a talk on “40 Years of the VSA” in the Reno-Sparks Convention Center, Room A3. Also on Friday, the VSA will host a luncheon at 12:00 in the Atlantis Resort-Emerald D. If you attend the convention and are a vintage/classic sailplane enthusiast, don’t miss these events!

Two sailplanes will also be on display in the exhibit hall: an uncovered (or ‘naked’) completely assembled TG-4A, and a half-size radio-controlled TG-2 model with a 26 foot wingspan.
