GQ 2013 Easter comp hosts, Warwick Gliding Club, were unsure how this year’s competition would be received. The previous host club, Caboolture, had run very successful competitions at Chinchilla and Dalby so the Warwick club took a gamble in relocating the competition to Goondiwindi on the NSW- Queensland border.

With just a fortnight to go before competition commences, there are nearly 50 entrants registered, with pilots coming from as far away as Victoria in the south and Cairns in the north. It seems that the choice of Goondiwindi was popular! “Can’t wait for this one, everyone I talk to is excited about it!”, said entrant Adam Woolley.

Weather at Goondiwindi at this time of year is historically very favourable, so it is just a matter of waiting to see just how good it will be. Stay tuned!
