So what happened on day 8  in 1991;
—pilots in all classes had pilot selected speed tasks with an A and B site
—never knew but do know now….I always thought my ex George and our  son Dennis were the first father and son team,  flying in a WGC in Benalla in 1987 but now I read that in Paderborn in 1981 father Klaus and son Oscar Goudriaan were flying as a team. So now I have to find out if they flew each in a glider in the same class, as I understood that Benalla was the first place where 2 seaters were flying in open class. In 1991 Oscar flew std. class and Laurens 15 m. here and now they both compete in Js 1’s.
—in 1991 they loved the TP system here;”  all TP’s are easy to see and must be photographed from the same angle what ever direction you are coming from or going to “. lol, what a huge difference with now! No camera’s, no Barographs , one little  black box as they called the “dream for the future”at that stage. Now we have spot devices , loggers etc.
—they were talking then in OSTIV about the world class with 13.5 span wings
— now we do have an ETA and here in Uvalde the 28 m span CONCORDIA.
