 Looking at the pilots this morning you could see that they have flown for 5 days already but they are eager to go for day 6!
Ken welcomed everybody again and mentioned proud the BIG speed pilots were flying with yesterday.”Blistering fast ” he called it. Sebastian flew with 149.3 km/h around, Tom with 154.8 km. and Michael with 159.2 km. That is FAST!!!!! He also mentioned that good decision- making yesterday was important. David Bauder from Germany [EI in 15 m. class] on the picture below; number 3 overall in his class.

The TC’s introduced their pilots and this time it was team Denmark , Finland and the Szech Rep. who were introduced to us. The last team has future enough with as it looked VERY young pilots!!! Good on them.

The TEAM CUP has not changed still Poland upfront followed by Germany and France.
2 Members from TEAM  UVALDE were introduced as well ;the director of housing and the organiser from everything IN the big white SSA tent were tonight the FAMOUS singer Ed Kilbourne , with his songs about soaring will perform!Here is the organiser and son in law from my landlords Todd Dorris. He was one of the organizers from yesterday’s lovely party as well.

Dick Bradley in his function as chief steward spend some words again on SAFETY specially this time for landings, as they had “some close encounters”. He referred to the pilots coming in with high energy and those with lower energy  sometimes conflicting and mentioned that in case of “emergency” pilots could use the crop duster strip as well for a landing; overall he was VERY statisfied with the discipline from the pilots here. He expected that of course as they represent the TOP of the world.

The WEATHER;
There is an unstabilty line across DEL RIO-UVALDE-SAN ANTONIO, with a threat of thunderstorms after 16.00 CDT.
—temperature 39,5 in the hills 40 dgr. C.
—Max height 9500 ft. and in the hills 10.500 temp. there will over 40 dgr. C.
—lift around 2  will be up to 4 m. and around 4 up to 5 m.

 I must say that tasksetter John Good sets his tasks absolutely spot on with the weather expectations. Good on him and Dan the [weather]man.COMPLIMENTS!!!

By the way I have to make a correction as well. The wheel up landing 2 days ago , was NO real wheel up landing but the wheel collapsed while turning of the tarmac, so NO disaster.Just to let you know.

GAGGLE TALK;

—The USA/Australian party was organized by the HERBY HAM ACTIVITY CENTER for team USA and ROAD RUNNER ENERGY the company from Todd Dorris for Team Australia. As said on a small airfield with hangars and…it is FOR SALE. When you are interested to buy a beautiful little spot in Texas here is your chance!
Here is an impression of the evening. Loved to see and loved to hear Rebecca Jansen on the picture below, sing along with Ed. She quoted all songs from memory.
