Practise day 4.

It looks like a nice day again,…good morning! It is nearly 9 and there is a nice cool wind blowing through the big tent here, quite some high cirrus and the rest is bleu, as every morning. The meteo on TV said this morning it would be 100 F at 6 tonight. Let’s see if that happens!
The tuggies are filling their tugs with gasoline , and one , the red one, is in front of me testing his engine , making a lot of that always lovely sounding noise. On the end of the field where the trailers and gliders are it looks pretty busy.
Briefing is 15 min. later today as announced in the briefing yesterday. So at 10.15 we have to be in the BIG sport-hall.

Looking back at practise day 3 there were some great results for the Dutch team being 1 and 3 in 15 m.class with Sebastian in the middle.  615 km. for Steven Raimond with a “nice “speed  of 143 km./h.
In 18 m. it was Killian Walbrou who was the best; 651 km. with 153 km. /h. in exactly 4.15!!!!!Good on him!!
Meeting his TC Eric in the afternoon, I told him what great young pilot Killian is in my opinion!!
The Jonker brothers were 2 and 3 while  good friend Wolfgang was 4th.
He just missed out on winning the day yesterday;Francois ….another Dutch pilot flying the Quintus M. Another Quintus beat him with  Egon Otto Rehn in it; 659 km. in 4.48.Nice speed too; 144.5 while Francois had 144km./h.
A good boost for the pilots . Quite a few pilots were on the ground with that fantastic weather. The the Broquevilles were in the shopping center as flying was for them a bit late after their acceptance check. Luckily that Wall Mart is big as on every corner was somebody from the comps. Good business for them.

For all our European readers here are some pictures I made this morning in the caravan park, Quite different to European camping. Enjoy, see you after the briefing’.

Everything is big here.
