Gift a Flight – launched in December, 2011 – is a sport aviation marketing company for glider operations, warbirds, biplanes, balloons, helicopters, hang gliding, and sky diving. The principal in the firm, Peter Krasnoff, is a 4600 hour glider pilot and CFIG who soloed at 14 in 1978 and flies an LS-6 from Blairstown, NJ. So there is a definite soaring-centric spin to the business.

In addition to direct marketing services for its (200 maximum) member businesses, Gift a Flight sells gift cards (“Flight Cards”) in $50, $100, $200 and $500 denominations for use at any member flight operator in its nationwide network.

One mission, specific to the glider segment of the business, is to generate not just rides but new students for glider operators. To that end, Gift a Flight is offering a free $50 flight Card to each new SSA member that it signs up.
