Video – Soaring in Monterrey, Mexico

Monterrey is one of the few places in Mexico where there is regular soaring activity. Kees Bleijenberg is working with the Mexican civil aviation authorities for broader acceptance of gliding and also putting energy into promoting gliding as a sport in a country with excellent, yet mostly untapped, soaring weather. The YouTube video is by local tow pilot Héctor Lomeli using GoPro Hero3 equipment. The video gives a very good appreciation for the local terrain, plus some nice Pawnee maneuvering.

Valle de bravo Mexico is a popular destination for paraglider and hang glider pilots from around the world. Good bit of history that might be leveraged to improve the situation for sailplanes.
