A Great Summary of a Flight with Karl Striedieck

While at the Seniors I was introduced to Hugo Vifian and told by one of his club members that he writes amazingly detailed flight reports. I recently was given a copy of one from his flight with Karl at Seminole and Hugo has allowed it to be shared here. For background, this day was cancelled as it was expected to be very short by the time the grid was launched. I took a tow and flew along KS and Hugo for a good bit before getting stuck at Osborn for about 20 min. All credit goes to Hugo  and the only editing I have done was removing some personal information. JP is a junior contest pilot and the training officer of the Blue Ridge Soaring Society.He recently became SSA Virginia Governor and Record keeper and received the Kolstad scholarship at the SSA convention in 2014. He currently studies Aerospace Engineering at Virginia Tech and spends most of his time working on gliders and UAV's.
