Dear Competitor

Thank you for entering the 15 metre Nationals at The Gliding Centre from the 13th to 21st July.

I’m really looking forward to directing the competition. With Hugh Brookes providing the met forecasts and the support of a strong and experienced team, our aim is to host a safe, fair, and competitive competition, but most of all, an enjoyable event.

Husbands Bosworth is a great site to hold a competition, with international recognition as a result of hosting European Women’s and World Junior championships. The local airspace is relatively free, giving us the ability to set tasks in most directions to take advantage of the weather, and the airfield has plenty of space, even when close racing leads to mass finishes. We also have excellent facilities, with a clubhouse, restaurant, briefing room and a warm shower block!

Once again, we will be organising a number of evening events with our al fresco barbecue on the first Saturday evening and our now famous Hog roast on the last Saturday evening. An event not to be missed!

Please note, your non refundable deposit of £90 (£45 for Junior’s) is due by the 15th March with the balance of £175 (£85 for Junior’s) due by the 18th May.

Please also note that under the 2013 Entry Procedures, pilots who are late in paying the deposit may be liable to an additional charge of £15 and late payment of the balance due may also result in a further charge of £25, so please make you payment as soon as possible to avoid these charges
