Seminole Lake Gliderport Hosting a Cross Country &Racing Camp in March

Coming this March, Seminole Lake Gliderport will be hosting a cross country & racing camp.  The event will begin immediately following the seniors championship during spring break of 2013.  Each morning will consist of well accredited pilots teaching various subjects that all relate to improving your speed and/or distance.  Pilots will be placed into small groups that are of similar ability and glider handicap. Each group will be assigned a mentor who will lead you around the course.

We are fortunate to have Karl Striedieck, John Good, Rich Own and Andy McQuigg share their wisdom as instructors in this camp.  Each of these four pilots have set records, won a regional or national and flown through many decades as sailplane racing pilots.  Andy McQuigg has volunteered to be the camp director.  Karl, John and Rich will be taking students aloft via their Duo Discus and DG-1000 two seat gliders.  Instructional cross country flights can be scheduled with each of these instructors for $200 per flight.

To further your advancement and challenge you more, each night will consist of a post flight analysis of your flight file with a mentor.  The registration fee is $150 for pilots with their own ship, and $100 for pilots who wish to only attend the daily ground schools and fly in two seat gliders.  If you are interested in participating in this event, visit https://sites.google.com/site/gliderracingcamp/ for more details.
