Miss Daisy – Words About the Worlds

Another dusty and windy Good afternoon from the WGC!

It was quite a trip getting to the grid and back today, due to that same wind as yesterday that is busy picking up all the dust and blinding us. Against all obstacles, the launch went on safe and in good conditions, with first glider taking off at 13:25. All of us (volunteers, crew, pilots) that were not protected by a canopy have our share of sand in our teeth!

The crew on the grid changed their orange Tees with new green ones and their new name starting today is “Lime Crew”! They are doing the same amazing job, no matter the wind and sand. Thank you guys!

Before the launch I was able to sneak into the tow pilots meeting and ask them to pose for me, each with his/ her tow plane. Please see today’s gallery for all the pictures of these great pilots that make the launch so good.

As the gates have opened and the pilots are on course, we are getting a moment of rest and try to clean up a little bit.
