Miss Daisy – Words About the Worlds

Good morning! Countdown continues – Day 3 just starts in Uvalde for all of us.

The staff of volunteers running the competition have a lot of surprises up their sleeve for the last 3 nights here – food, drinks, parties, prizes – stick around the big white tent in the evenings starting 7 PM!

Now returning to the race, the weather today will have a slower start with lower altitudes – below 6,000 MSL before 4PM and with a maximum of 8,500 MSL around 6PM. Due to this the grid time will be at 12:45 and first launch scheduled for 13:15. There is no thunderstorm threat today, the winds will be as yesterday from the South South-East with some 10 knots at launch time. It will be breezy, as Walt (weather) said, which we all hope, so the ground crew will not be covered in dust again.

The tasks today are longer, but still under 600 km.
