Let’s go!!!

At 12.15 the sniffer went up, skies look great.
“Tow pilots prepare for first launch at 12.30” was the message on the radio.
So they do and their engines “roar”.
Look at the sky!!!!

It’s 12.30 , …….”Sweet Pea” go ahead  and all tuggies go to the field.
At 12.32 the 32 d WGC in Uvalde started!!!! Hurray!!!And Good luck!

Beautiful to look at; 2 rows of gliders [parallel] behind tugs and so now and then a self launcher. It’s all going smooth.
One glider is coming back for a re-light on the taxi-way. In the end he landed on the grass in the middle.
I heard CA but I could not find quickly who that could be. He had his relight at 13.35 and it was surely CA. But he is on his way now too, Pete Harvey, is CA flying the Antares 23 in open class. Call sign in the book is his usual N1, but it changed in CA. Will not forget that anymore!

Start  for 15 m. will open at;13.34

Start for 18 m. will open at ; 14.05

Start for open class will open at;13.35

All gliders are up in the air in about 1 hour and 15 minutes with , as far as we could see,  8 tow planes. Good on them!
In between we heard  what the problem was with CA; one of the engine doors stayed open. No other problems and …….off Pete went again .

Back later with pictures from Andrea and working in between on the “social blog”.
