It was a good week in Ely Nevada.
From July 7-11, 2012 a few guys were able to fly 22 OLC flights over 1,000 km. A quarter of the flights were 1,000 km FAI triangles. My best flight was a 1,253 km (779 mile) flight that included a 913 km (567 mile) FAI triangle at a speed of 157.34 km/hr (97.77 mph). Uwe Kleinhemple completed a 1,124 km (698.5 mile) FAI triangle at a speed of 146.05 km/hr (90.76 mph) and Ramy Yanetz scored 1,385 OLC points with a total distance of 1,385 km (860.6 miles), which included a 1,031 km (640.7 mile) FAI triangle.
