The Beverly Soaring Society in Western Australia

The Beverly Soaring Society is largest of three Gliding Clubs in Western Australia and operates  Friday, Saturday and Sunday all year round.  Our location is in at the edge of the wheat-belt area east of Perth WA and our terrain is mostly flat.  Each year we make a trip five hour road trip south to the only hill / ridge around to soar and catch the wave for gold and diamonds.

The following HD video clips are of our trip to the Stirling Ranges last year and is made by Alf Rosche our resident gizmo’s guru.

To assist in others in familiarizing themselves with gliding in our area,  two scenery’s have been made for the Condor users for flying “mid-week” while at home.  They are down-loadable from:

Our Club is very active on OLC and were leading for a few months this year but are now presently in the number two position.

Statistic: Club OLC 2011

We have started to operate a Facebook page for information and regularly get visits from international pilots on Holiday who are traveling around Australia.

All Visitors are welcome, come along to experience the vast open spaces of Western Australia from a glider.

Regards,
Grant Rookes
